Our Story

August 23, 2023 - Audrey & Walker meet

Walker and Audrey met on campus at A&M. It was the first week of their Junior year. Walker decided a couple weeks prior that he was determined to start dating and he had a plan. Walker cold approached Audrey in front of Rudder tower and simply asked for her number! It was a very bold move and she had not experienced that before so it was a surprise. Walker then texted Audrey and asked her out officially. Their first date was at Texas Roadhouse.

Our second official date and our first picture ever together! We went dancing at Hurricane Harry's and then walked to Midnight Yell. We also had our first kiss that night when we were mugging down. For the non-Aggies, mugging down is a minute during Midnight Yell where they turn all the lights off and people kiss or they shine a light if they don't have anyone to kiss.

A lot of our fun relationship aspects have to do with Aggie traditions because we are Aggies that fell in love. This picture is from the first time we walked under the Century Tree together. The Century Tree is a very old tree on A&M campus that is believed to bring good luck to couples that walk under it. If you walk under there with someone then you are going to be with them forever. I guess it is safe to say that this superstition is true!

A lot of our fun relationship aspects have to do with Aggie traditions because we are Aggies that fell in love. This picture is from the first time we walked under the Century Tree together. The Century Tree is a very old tree on A&M campus that is believed to bring good luck to couples that walk under it. If you walk under there with someone then you are going to be with them forever. I guess it is safe to say that this superstition is true!
This weekend I brought Walker home to meet my parents! We met our families pretty early in the relationship (we were only dating 3 months) but we knew we wanted our relationship to be serious because we were going to go through 7 months of long distance in January.

This weekend Walker takes me home to meet his family!
It snows in College station! From January to August we were in a long distance relationship. Walker had an internship in Dallas so our relationship consisted of many weekend visits and facetime calls. We got through the distance and it truly made us grow closer and be grateful for every day we have together!

This is the first time we went to Aggie Gardens together. After this day we started to visit the gardens every Sunday when Walker came to visit College Station. This day was also our 6 months together.

Walker proposed! This happened 3 days after our long distance ended and we were together in College Station. It was at Aggie Gardens at sunset. Walker was very nervous and Audrey had a little hunch that it was going to happen :)
