Audrey + Nate

We met in January 2023 during our freshman year of college, in speech class of all places. From the moment we saw one another, there was this unspoken connection- We kept catching each others eyes across the room. I was too shy to say anything, so my best friend Mili asked Nate if he had a girlfriend for me.And thankfully, he did not.We started talking that day, and he asked me out almost immediately. After our first date, he asked when he could see me again-but I had to tell him I got a concussion...I was with Mili and I slipped and hit my head on ice and hit my head pretty hard. I was worried hed think I was making it up to avoid seeing him, so Mili sent a video of me looking all funny, to prove I was indeed telling the truth. Luckily, he stuck around. About a week later, we made it official. I stopped by his work on my way back from a road trip, and thats when he asked me to be his girlfriend. Two days later, he went to my 19th birthday party, met all my friends, watched the super bowl with us, and totally charmed my parents. My mom told me afterward, Hes the one,- and honestly I already knew. From the beginning, everything just clicked. We both felt it. Within that first week, we were already telling each other, Youre my person. Fast forward to October 2024- we were heading to Houston for the weekend to see Cody Johnson. Right before the concert, he asked me to dress up a little, and I didnt think anything of it. He took me to the Waterway in The Woodlands, and we walked around for a while. Then, all of a sudden, he stopped, hugged me tight, and I could feel his heart racing. He started saying the sweetest things... and then he got down on one knee. That moment was everything. I got to walk into a concert engaged to the love of my life, and it was truly unforgettable. Now were here- planning our wedding and dreaming about forever. I still cant believe I get to marry the man who makes me laugh, makes me feel safe, and reminds me every day what real & true love really looks like. He is the most kind and God fearing man and for that I am forever grateful. Its truly the easiest yes, Ive ever said.
