Many believe the couple's first meeting was April 2024; however some may be surprised to know they actually met before then. July 2019, the couple made their first attempt to date. However, at the time they were still growing, learning, and healing and the fates decided then was not the time and had them walk their separate ways. They forged their own paths from there separately. Healing, growing, and learning more about themselves and love and what love means for them. So, when they did meet the "One" they would know immediately.

April 2024, the couples paths cross once again. Though both hesitant and cautious from the past 5 years of experiences. Testing each other's patience, they spoke for nearly a month before meeting at a ranch where Audrey boards her horse, Mr. Waylon. The meeting went well and though Audrey had set that meeting at the ranch for her safety, it didn't take long for her to realize just how safe she would be with Nick.

However, Audrey was still cautious and had to put off their first official date. Nick's patience tested to its very end; he tried to setup a date. When Audrey provided the excuse of needing to build furniture, Nicks final straw of patience snapped. He said, "Then it's a date." Audrey left slightly confused questioned him further. Nick ultimately decided their first official date would be pizza and building furniture at Audrey's home. Audrey, amused, agreed. Not to worry, Nick did all the work building the furniture telling Audrey to just "sit there and look pretty." Not a difficult feat for Audrey by any means either.

With their first official date under their belts, the tests began! Nick has a specific test one lady must pass before being considered worthy. Meeting the Mother. And of course, other dear friends and family. All those Nick introduced Audrey to give their seal of approval, winning over their heart with her unique and wonderful personality. Audrey even went as far as becoming best friends with one of Nicks friends very quickly.

As for Ms. Lorraine, Nicks incredible mother, she too gave her approval and Audrey survived Lorraine's no filter personality and exuberance. Audrey has come attached to her referring to the lovely Lorraine as Mama.

The night Audrey completed Nick's ultimate test of meeting his mother was the same night Nick officially asked Audrey to be his girlfriend.

The couple having many interests in common and their goals for their respective futures aligned so well, Nick realized quickly Audrey was his one and only! He planned incredulously how he would ask her to be his wife. He had agents, Audreys friends, all provide ring ideas and gather intel to help with his planning. Once he had the ring picked and paid for, it was time to pop the question. Nerves abound, Nick asked Audrey on bended knee to spend the rest of her life with him however long or short that may be.

Audrey said Yes!
