Audrey grew up in Atlanta, GA, in addition to living in California and London. For college, she studied human biology at Stanford University, and went on a mission for her church to Concepcion, Chile for a year and a half. She then attended Brigham Young University for law school. After law school, she moved out to Washington DC for a government fellowship. After a few years doing policy and legal work for government agencies, she moved to NYC to do immigration law. She realized that she loved DC, so she moved back and now works as a lawyer on prison issues at the Department of Justice. Audrey loves to play the piano, violin and organ when she has free time, and she also enjoys challenging Robert in a myriad of athletic activities. She is so glad she and Robert found each other, and is excited to start her life together with him!
Robert was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA, where he was an avid saxophone player and made a number of close friends while participating in band activities at Kempsville High School. He then attended Clemson University where he graduated with an engineering degree while making memories that would most likely make the bestsellers' list if they ever get written down and published. After Clemson, he left for Guam for a year to start his professional career, and during this time discovered his love for scuba diving and international travel. After work transferred him to DC, his life took a turn when found the love of his life, Audrey Lambert, and rediscovered his relationship with Jesus Christ (he was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in January 2015). With them by his side, he is more excited than ever to see what the future has to offer.
Audrey and Robert love to exercise and spend time together outdoors enjoying the natural beauty that Heavenly Father has blessed them with. So when it came time for Robert to propose, it became apparent to him that incorporating these two activities would make for a wonderful setting to ask for Audrey's hand in marriage. After purchasing the ring, Robert asked Audrey's roommate Kathryn Moss to bring it to their typical morning jog half-way point, the Air Force Memorial in Arlington, VA, where the ring could be waiting for Robert, and Kathryn could take some incognito photographs. Once Audrey and Robert got close to the memorial, Robert jogged ahead to grab the ring without Audrey noticing, and once Audrey caught up, the big moment had arrived. With the rising sun painting a beautiful setting, and after a few nervous words from Robert, he got on one knee and pulled out the ring and asked her the fateful question. With both surprise and joy in her eyes Audrey said "yes". Now they are both excited to have their friends and family together in beautiful Carmel, CA to celebrate the end of their engagement and the start of their new life together. They are also excited to be married (sealed) for eternity in the LDS temple in January 2016.
