Kyle and Audrey first met during Welcome Week of college at St. Louis University. Audrey told Kyle that she liked his Breaking Bad t-shirt at the hypnotism show and Kyle passed his phone down a row of people to get her number. For most of Freshman year, Kyle and Audrey were just friends. Spring of 2014, they were going to each other's social events and spending a lot of time together. By the end of the year, Audrey definitely thought they were dating. Kyle would figure it out later. Audrey went abroad to Madrid, Spain in Spring of 2015, while Kyle went abroad the next semester. Despite an ocean between them for an entire year, they still talked everyday and even wrote each other letters. When both were back stateside, it was as if no time had passed at all. Senior year of college, Kyle applied to law schools and Audrey applied to graduate schools and they were lucky enough to both wind up at Washington University in St. Louis. After first year of grad school, Kyle did an internship in Durbin, South Africa and days after he left Audrey adopted their foster dog ZiZi – to which he replied, “that one?” Now that spazzy dog with the underbite is the light of their lives. Audrey graduated with her Master of Social Work in December of 2018 and got a job in St. Louis while Kyle finished up law school. Kyle graduated from law school in May of 2020, after finishing his final weeks of classes from the apartment. The two now both work from home in their Dogtown apartment, minutes from the zoo, where they live happily ever after and started planning this wedding.
