Sam and Audrey met each other through Audrey's brother, Nolan, and his wife, Kaite (who are two of Sam's closest friends) We were both in Nolan and Kaite's wedding (if you look close, you can see two kids singing their heart out. That's us!)

Let there be no question about it: Sam was part of the Rinck family long before he ever started dating Audrey. The Rincks love Sam so much that he made it into our family photo! Little did they know that he would one day be a permanent addition :)

This was the week we became best friends! Nolan and Kaite were at the hospital having their son, Benjamin, and we were two of the four people Nolan and Kaite asked to dog-sit for them while they were away!

BOOM. FIRST DATE! This is the very first picture we ever took as an official dating couple! We had made plans to go see The Barbie Movie together as friends (hence, all the pink) but before we went, we decided to go for a walk together. On that walk, Sam asked Audrey to be his girlfriend. She said yes!!

Sam and Aud LOVE playing board games. This picture was taken at House Rules, a boardgame bar in Grand Rapids. We have gone here a couple of times, and we both agree that it is a blast. (And, bonus, they have delicious non-alcoholic drinks, so it is the perfect bar for two people who don't drink!) If all goes to plan and we get an apartment in Downtown Grand Rapids, you can be certain that we will be coming here often.

We went to see AJR live at Van Andel Arena! AJR is one of our favorite bands, so seeing them live was a dream come true! We went with Audrey's dad, Rob, and her sister Miranda. Truly a concert dream team.

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! To celebrate, we had some pictures taken by the lovely Miranda Rinck, we went paddle boating, and exchanged gifts. (Sam recorded himself singing love songs for Audrey, and Audrey gave Sam a scrapbook of their first year together)

Trip to Disney with the Mennega fam! We LOVED it. The rides were all so fun. Audrey, who had never been a roller coaster gal, ended up discovering a love for roller coasters here!

TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY! We actually spent this day going for a 20 mile run in the Manistee National Forest with Aud's dad! We were all training for the Marquette Ultramarathon. Since we had a training run to do, we decided to push our anniversary celebration to the next weekend. Aud would soon find out that Sam was planning a big surprise...

WE GOT ENGAGED!!! Sam completely surprised Audrey. He took her to their favorite park, and while they read their bibles together, Sam handed Audrey a long note. The note included many bible verses that were on Sam's mind, all related to marriage, (did Audrey pick up on this obvious pattern? You bet she didn't) And at the end of the note, Sam asked Audrey to stand with him. He knelt down and popped the question! Aud was so surprised that she immediately burst into tears and fell on the ground. Then, she hugged him, and said "YES!!!"
