Our Wedding

Evan and Audrey met on Tuesday, June 16th, 2009. Audrey had just left her high school graduation in Simi Valley, Ca, when her friend asked if she would tag along with her to avoid being a third wheel. So they headed out to Oxnard, Ca to a farmhouse in the middle of the growing fields. They walked into “The Saloon” where Evan was with his friend playing pool. They hung out all night, and eventually exchanged numbers and continued to hang out on and off for about 3 years. After a while they both unintentionally went their separate ways, working and traveling, yet, now we know, somehow unknowingly around each other often. They would try to get together a few times over the years but schedules just didn’t mesh, and life would go on. Then one day, 12 years and two months after initially meeting each other, and about 9 years after seeing each other last, fate happened. On a crowded Sunday afternoon Evan decided to go surfing at County Line beach in Malibu, all while Audrey randomly was headed out to the same beach at the same time. She pulled up to find parking on the PCH at the exact time Evan was climbing up the makeshift stairs to head to his car. He didn’t see her, but she saw him. And yea, she totally ducked. And out of the whole beach, Audrey decided to be right under the cliff Evan was hanging out on, where he finally saw her. Later in the day, Audrey decided to send him a text hoping he had the same number. Which he did. They decided to get some dinner a few days later, and immediately knew. Both stating “we’re totally doing this.” And have been pretty much inseparable since. On Christmas morning in 2024, Evan had Rah, Audrey’s 4 year old daughter bring Audrey a little black box holding his grandmothers ring in it, all while she’s feeding their 4 month old son on the couch. Completely low key and private. It was perfect.
