The first time Mason and Audrey met was through mutual friends. They went to Tipsy Tina's for dinner, and when Audrey arrived, Mason was on his friend Matt’s phone watching Duke basketball. Audrey didn't want to have anything to do with him. As the night went on, the group decided to go bar hopping downtown, something Mason thought he'd given up since his college days. As the night went on, Audrey started to notice the man who was watching the Duke game was cute and she wanted to get to know him more. A few hours and several different bars later, Mason and Audrey began to talk and get to know each other a little better. After going to nearly six different bars, the group ended the night at what was formerly known as Boombox Bar. Mason was very tired and wanted to go home before everyone else, but he wasn't about to leave without at least telling this beautiful woman he'd just met goodbye. Audrey's reaction was, "Goodbye? That's it? You're not going to ask for my number?" A rookie mistake by Mason led to Audrey giving him her number, and that's what started it all. Two great things happened that night, Mason and Audrey's story officially began, and Duke won their basketball game!

Fast forward to their first date at Prehistoric Putt, and Audrey was a nervous wreck not wanting to mess this new relationship up because she really liked him. They had so much fun that night, even though Mason beat Audrey by about 40 strokes. But Audrey didn't care about that at the moment. What she really cared about was the man she was spending time with, and at the end of the day that's all Mason cared about as well. Even though it was a night filled with awkwardness and emotion, once again it was the picture perfect day for the both of them and they couldn't wait for date #2.

Mason asked Audrey to marry him in the most intimate, cozy, and perfect way. They were at home with PJ's on, makeup off, and laying with Oakley on the couch when they started talking about their future and how excited they were for it. Mason couldn't think of a better time to ask Audrey to be his forever wife than that moment right there. He got up, went to grab the ring he bought for her, and asked Audrey to marry him right then and there. It was a perfect moment between the two of them, and they wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
