Our first date was a classic mashup of Lulu and Creepy's, two of our Portland bar favorites. We had matched on a dating app the day before Cam went to Japan two weeks prior and had been chatting online daily, so the connection was pretty instant once we met in real life.

The next few months included a broken dog leg, and a fast descent into COVID which would speed up how quickly we got to know each other. Soon we were spending all our time together during quarantine.

With all the time we were spending together, Kevin attached to Aud pretty quickly. Soon we became one little family, we did almost everything together and made the most out of the pandemic.

In our attempts to social distance, we booked several cozy stays across the PNW, including Astoria, Bend, Crater Lake, and White Salmon. We realized we didn't need much to be happy and enjoyed spending time in pretty places.

We bought a house! We weren't looking, but we fell in love with our cozy bungalow that Cam was hired to photograph. Here was the beginning of making a home together and we're still loving every minute of it.

Traveling to Japan together was a bucket list moment from the very beginning, even though Aud has lived there and Cam has visited several times. Our first conversations happened while Cam was there on a solo trip, and that mutual interest really brought us together. We were so excited to finally visit one of our favorite places in the world together, including Ushibuka, the small beach town where Ms. Aud taught in her early 20s.

During one of our yearly Thanksgiving visits to Alaska, Cam proposed! It was a big, happy, snowy surprise!
