Our Wedding

Claudia and I met on April 30, 2022, and we went on our first date a week later. The connection Claudia and I had was instant. Since meeting her the first day, we texted each other daily until we had our first date in Carlsbad, California. Our first date consisted of a long walk on the beach. After walking the beach, Claudia and I went to a local Thai restaurant. Claudia and I quickly became inseparable after our first date, and I asked her to be my girlfriend on May 31, 2022. &nbsp;During our first year together, Claudia and I spent a great deal of time getting to know one another. Claudia also showed me a lot of what California had to offer. Our dates consisted of cooking together, going on walks at the beach, trying new restaurants together, hiking, and taking small trips together to some of her favorite places. Our time together was special, and we always made sure we spent quality time together. In April 2023, I accepted a position that required me to relocate to Washington, D.C. During those four months, Claudia and I faced our first long-distance test, and although it had its challenges, we persevered and kept fighting for our relationship. Knowing I could not leave Washington D.C., Claudia made it a point to visit me multiple times during those months, which also allowed us to explore Washington, D.C together. Navigating the time difference and only being able to speak on the phone was difficult, and we both had a hard time adjusting to this change. However, Claudia and I always made it a point to talk every day. After leaving Washington, D.C., I was stationed in Sierra Vista, Arizona, and for the past 2 year, Claudia and I have continued to navigate our long-distance relationship. The long distance has never come between us, and we have always made it a point to visit one another. Claudia and I always knew our love was bigger than the distance between us, and on October 26, 2024, I asked Claudia to marry me at the spot where we had our first date.&nbsp; We are thrilled that you are joining us this year on October 10, 2025, to witness us tie the knot and begin our new chapter in life as husband and wife!

Austen and I absolutely love Italian food, so if you are in the mood for it, please visit Little Italy in San Diego during your visit. There is a large variety of Italian restaurants, gelato, and many other restaurants as it is located in Downtown San Diego-Gaslamp area. There is a large farmers market every Wednesday and Saturday and we definitely think you should go check this out!

Coronado Island in San Diego is a stunning area that you can check out and spend a day at. It is located near Downtown San Diego and near the San Diego International Airport.

Claudia and I loved going on walks at the beach. Claudia and I often walked/hiked Torrey Pines together. If you will be visiting California for a few days/week prior or after the wedding, we feel you should go on a walk there!

The Safari Park in Escondido is a perfect way to spend a day! The park is located approximately 45 minutes from the Temecula area.
