Austin and Carli met in 2013 at Lake Del Valle, towards the end of their sophomore year at Granada High School in Livermore, CA. They began dating shortly after meeting and fell in love. They enjoyed having classes together, attending each other's sporting events, going to school dances, enjoying the company of their mutual friends, and getting to know one another's families.

They moved in together in 2016 in Santa Cruz, CA, where they attended school. Austin graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Chemistry, and Carli from CSU Monterey Bay with a B.S. in Kinesiology. They spent most of their free time at the beach/in the forest, road-tripping/traveling, and attending concerts/music festivals.

Austin and Carli post-graduating have spent their time disc golfing, running, traveling, and working. They have held various jobs throughout their relationship, from serving in restaurants to working in corporate offices. After graduating, Austin worked in finance and data analytics in the tech industry, while Carli worked in gyms and physical therapy offices. Currently, Carli works remotely as a Practice Coordinator for Bloom Healthcare in Denver, CO, and Austin is a freelance financial analyst/asset manager and an ACRCD Living Arroyos restoration aide.

On October 8, 2023, Carli and Austin hiked Mount Bierstadt of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, where, at the 14,000-foot summit, they became happily engaged.

After living in Denver, CO for a year, Austin and Carli now live back in their hometown of Livermore, CA. They are very excited to get married and become the 'Armstrongs' surrounded by their friends and family.
