Approximate driving time: 4 hours.

From San Francisco:

Take Highway 101 to the first exit for Willits (Exit 568). Take the exit, then turn left under the overpass. Proceed through Willits until you get to the intersection at Highway 20 (a large 4-way light). Take a left onto Highway 20 and proceed to mile marker 17.37.

From Sacramento area:

Take I-5 north to Williams, and then go west on Highway 20 to Highway 101. Go North on 101 towards Willits. Take Exit #568 for Highway 20. Turn left under the freeway. Turn left to stay on State Highway 20 West (third traffic light in Willits).

For All:

Proceed on Highway 20 to mile marker 17.37; you will see a Camp Mendocino sign on the right. Turn right on to the dirt road. Cross 3 bridges and continue straight after the 3rd bridge. You will have the option to go up Road 240 or stay straight on Road 250. PLEASE STAY STRAIGHT ON ROAD 250. There will be signs directing you to Camp Mendocino.

Once you get to the top of Road 250, there will be signs directing you to turn left on Road 1000. Stay on Road 1000 until you get to a 4-way intersection. Turn right and follow the signs towards Camp Mendocino. You will pass through two gates. After you pass through the second gate that says Camp Mendocino, you will travel about 2 miles before you reach the center of Camp. Cross the bridge & proceed to the Camp office to inform Camp staff of your arrival.

Please Note:

Highway 20 & the dirt roads into Camp have many twists & turns so please drive carefully, especially if you are driving at night. There is very limited cell service once you leave Willits.
