Austin and Hannah met at a friend’s graduation party on June 3, 2017. Austin’s friends wanted to leave right when the music started, but he wanted to stay behind in hopes of talking to Hannah. They hit it off, so Hannah gave Austin an invite to her graduation party two weeks later. A day after her graduation party, Hannah left for Greece for a family vacation and Austin left for Finland for his brother’s wedding. Rather than having an eight hour time difference from home, they had a two hour gap, which made talking for two weeks a lot easier. As they both talked, they came to realize how much they really had in common. During the next two years, they did everything they possibly could together from going out in service, to hanging out with friends, to going to family functions, to assemblies and meetings. Finally on June 3, 2019, Austin and his parents and Hannah and her family went to “go see Aladdin” in theaters. Little did Hannah know as soon as she sat down, she was going to be watching a 15 minute video that Austin had made over the past two years of the two of them and finally proposing with all of their family and close friends surrounding them.
