Austin and Zandria first crossed paths at a mutual friend's small group night in the summer of 2022. Austin was immediately interested because of her commitment to the Bible.

He started weekly post-church pizza nights, which she began attending. Initially, Zandria told Austin she didn't want to date. Despite having already committed to a year of singleness, she was falling for him.

When he went off to work at summer camp a few months later, Zandria did the scariest thing she's ever done, and sent him an unprompted handwritten letter. He replied, and they continued sending letters back and forth. Upon his return in the fall, she confessed her feelings. She also finally told him about that year of singleness, which would end on October 15th. Austin's response? "What are you doing on October 15th? I'd like to take you on a date."

On their first date they went to church, had lunch, and spent the entire day together. Austin developed a charming monthly tradition of asking, "We've been dating X number of months now; should we keep dating?"

On Christmas Eve, after 14 months and 9 days of dating, Austin's "should we keep dating" question took an unexpected turn. When Zandria said "of course", he disagreed - and proposed!

This June, Austin and Zandria are excited to begin their most incredible journey together, surrounded by their loved ones.
