About the Bride & Groom

Mike and Austin met in November 2016 while they were both working at the same digital marketing agency. Over the years and throughout many intramural sporting events, happy hours, concerts, and Food Fighter meetings (a music and snack appreciation club where they serve as two of the three co-founders), the pair grew from just coworkers to good friends. Fast forward to May 2018, these two pals decided that maybe it would be time to get serious about the person they find to be the most fun – and so began their relationship. Over their years together, they have traveled the world, spent an absurd amount of time and money on concerts, became parents to the absolute best boy in the world – their adorable corgi, Harley – purchased a home, got into new hobbies together (most notably cooking and golfing rather poorly), honed their skills as the hosts with the most, invented inside jokes absolutely no one else in the world would find as hysterical as they do – but most importantly, created the happiest little life together. Now, in the presence of the most important people in the world to them, they are absolutely elated to take their next step in life as husband and wife.&nbsp;

Our Story

We will be staying at this hotel and have reserved a block of rooms for our guests at The Hotel at Midtown. This will also provide our guests transportation to and from Revolution Brewery.

A Chicago institution, this jazz bar is our favorite in the city (and was even a favorite of the notorious Al Capone.)

For views that rival that of The Sears Tower (but without paying an admission price.) Right on the Magnificent Mile, don't forget to hit up some shopping when you're done!

The Signature Lounge at the 96th

Our most favorite bar in Wrigley. It includes a batting cage, arcade, dueling pianos, and is just a stones throw away from the iconic Wrigley Field.

A great place to catch some legendary comedy. This improv theatre started the careers of many fan favorites, including Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Chris Farley, Gilda Radner, Steve Carrell, and Stephen Colbert (just to name a few.)

Green Street Smoked Meats

There is a location near our venue, as well as a location right across the street from Wrigley Field. A fun spot to grab tacos and a nice, cold margarita.

Big Star

Our favorite for Chicago deep dish pizza (though this may be controversial amongst Giordano's and Gino's East lovers.) There are many locations around the city, though this Lincoln Park location is close to the zoo, driving range, and other fun activities.

The Dude That Makes This All Legal

While he once served as the bride's manager, it now appears he could not manage to get her out of his life after they quit working together. It has since spiraled and I guess here he is, officiating her wedding now.

A lifelong bestie of the bride, Betsy has forever been a trusted sidekick. The two pals have been through everything, including their hometown Culver's drive through hundreds of times.

The oldest sister of the bride. A fun fact: She also served as the bride's personal Uber when the bride was 8 and she was 16 well before Uber was even a company.

Danielle Castle

The bride's middle sister. Another fun fact: She graciously took over as the bride's personal driver when the aforementioned oldest sister went away to college.

Sam Marg

One of the bride's closest childhood pals, these two have gone through middle school, high school, and college side by side (apparently, they both had the life goal to have a front row seat for the most embarrassing times of each of their lives.)

Katie Dvorak

A best friend from college and now a fellow partaker of shenanigans in their Chicago days, Sam can be seen joining in all of the bride's favorite activities with her (drinking wine on patios, frequenting their local Home Goods, and watching each and every award show with the strongest of opinions despite never watching any of the movies being celebrated in said award show.)

Another college best friend of the bride, Julie can always be trusted to be by the bride's side no matter what -- even during that time that there was a bat in her house that she was too scared to kill (no, seriously...Julie is THAT ride or die that she killed a bat for the bride.)

The bride's very first friend in life (they met when they were just babies.) No two people on this earth have quite as much fun as these pals do whenever they're together.

A childhood friend so close that her and the bride spent most of their Halloweens trick-or-treating in coordinating costumes.

One of the bride's very first friends from Chicago. While the bride isn't sure if speed dial still exists, if it does, Katie would most certainly be on it, as she is the first to get a phone call regarding literally EVERYTHING that happens in life.

Younger brother of the groom.  Joey and Mike have been there for each other since his day one.   Even though he'll tell you otherwise, he wants to be just like his older brother in every way.

The grooms oldest Chicago work friend.  Before Mike even secured his first Chicago agency job, Mark asked for a lunch interview with Mike to make sure he was "cool enough to work with".  6 years later, the jury is still out on that one.

Mark Goodson

Steven and the groom just celebrated their ten year anniversary as friends.  They met on the first day of freshman year and bonded over their loves of music, COD, and ice cream.  If you get the chance, ask him about why he's not allowed near the candles.

Steven Majkowski

Wombmate to the groom.  These two have known each other since birth as they lived next door to each other growing up.  They still treat each other like second family, but never enough to talk each other out of the silly high school fads and phases.  

Zac Popik

Zak and the groom re-ignited their high school friendship when he moved from Denver to Chicago.  Known by some as the groom's non-paternal father,  Zak has been known to provide him with guidance, and always has that little extra sense of style.

Zak Henderson

One of the grooms oldest friends.  They met almost 25 years ago in Kindergarten, and have seen it all together over the years.  They once had the fastest growing independent landscaping company in northeast Ohio, and Mark is still trying after all these years to get the groom to listen to country music more regularly.  

Mark Wilson

The groom met Dylan while working as an RA at UD.  After a few games of beer pong together during move in weekend, they became amazing friends.  Despite living across they country, they now keep in touch over sports, video games, a nice glass of bourbon, and the occasional heated match on the links.

The groom met Joe in High school, when they both had less than ideal haircuts, but at the same time, they had great music tastes.  When he's not serving our country, Joe is always up to show his friends around sin city!

The groom met Joe in high school and with a smile like that, how could they not be instant friends?  As the wild card of the bunch, he brings the innocence to the wedding party, but has been known to through quite the party himself.
