This is the hotel we had a room block for! It is a 6 minute (2.5mi) drive from the venue and about 10 minutes from downtown Asheville. The "website" button below takes you to the hotel's website to give you an idea of what the hotel is like (it's nice!). The room block is now closed. However, if you still need a room you can ask for Ashley and tell her you are with our wedding, and she will make sure your room links to our room block! Call (828)-298-5611 to book.
We also recommend looking at AirBnB or VRBO for local listings! Asheville has SO many great rental options to choose from. And of course, there are tons of hotels around, if the Holiday Inn is not your style.
Note that the wedding venue is located in Swannanoa, which is 15 minutes east of downtown Asheville. We'd recommend staying within the following areas:
- Swannanoa (close)
- east Asheville (close)
- downtown Asheville (15-20 minutes west of venue)
- Black Mountain (15-20 minutes east of venue)
Further south of downtown (toward Arden) might be a bit of a drive from the venue, but will be close to the Asheville airport.
ASHEVILLE AIRPORT:
The Asheville airport (AVL) is quite tiny and unfortunately is largely under construction for the foreseeable future.
Allegiant Airlines & a handful of others fly directly to AVL from many large airports including BWI and Denver, though these flight options do tend to be quite limited.
Other airlines are likely to fly indirectly into AVL, so if you are open to layovers, definitely look into those options.
OTHER OPTIONS:
There are many more flight options if you fly into Greenville, SC airport (GSP) or Charlotte airport (CLT) and rent a car. GSP is a 1.5 hour (65 mile) drive to Asheville, and CLT is 2 hours (120 miles).
The drive from Maryland is also not too bad! You can take 77 to 81 if you want to avoid D.C. traffic, and it is quite scenic driving down through VA and Western NC. It takes somewhere around 8 hours depending on where you are.
