Austin & Lani went to all the same schools growing up & had mutual friends in highschool. Austin asked Lani to come to a New Years Eve party in 2018 - to which she said no.

In April of 2020, Lani’s family started going to Patterson Grove Christian Churchs drive-in services - where Austin’s dad, Brian, is the preacher.

On October 23, 2022, Lani was singing at the church’s revival & Austin had just arrived home after a 6-month deployment. He asked her out that very night.

Three months into long-distance dating, Lani was given a vision from the Lord of their wedding day... and the next morning, God gave her a date to go with it. Austin told her he had already been looking at rings.
