Let’s be real — no one expects true love to show up on a dating app. But one swipe, one message, and one nervous guy later… Lezlie met Austin. Or as she now lovingly calls him, Cookie. (Yes, like the snack — and yes, he’s just as sweet.)It all started on September 24th 2023, after matching on a dating website. Their first date? A walk on the beach, dinner at Chili’s, and coffee. Nothing flashy — just two people, some sea breeze, and a little bit of magic. No pressure, no big gestures — just real conversation and sand between their toes. It was simple, but it worked. From that night on, they’ve been inseparable.Lez remembers how adorably nervous Austin was — so nervous, he could barely make eye contact. He just kept smiling and looking everywhere but at her. It was awkward, sweet, and totally unforgettable. Meanwhile, Austin thought Lez was kind, funny, and warm — the kind of person who instantly feels like home. There was something easy about being together… and that feeling never left.They fell in love in the in-between moments — long car drives, music playing, windows down. Whether they were chasing sunsets or late-night snacks, being together just felt right. Every mile brought them closer. Throw in cozy video game nights, spontaneous kitchen dance parties, and more laughs than they can count, and they realized they’d found something rare.And then came the moment.On July 19th, 2024, Austin planned the perfect proposal. After dinner and coffee — just like their first date — they walked through Riverside Park. Lez wasn’t expecting it at all. One minute they were strolling, and the next minute Austin was down on one knee, probably shaking a little (but trying to act cool). Lez didn’t even say “yes” right away — she just laughed and hugged him. But, of course, the answer was always yes.Then came another surprise both of their families were waiting back at Austin’s parents’ house, ready to celebrate. It was sweet, fun, and perfect in the best way.What Lez loves most about Austin is simple: his heart. He loves life, he loves people, and he lives with a joy that’s completely contagious. Even on quiet days at home, he makes everything feel like an adventure.Together, they've built a love that’s sweet, spontaneous, and sometimes just a little bit silly — and they wouldn’t want it any other way.
