Lula's began as a lunch wagon serving the Brown Shoe Factory in 1944. Workers would lower their money down in a bucket from the upper floor and Lula and her husband would fill it up. Over the years Lula's morphed into a small local pub where the MACC Greyhound fans used to hang out after the game. Since then, Lula's has become known for great seafood and steaks/burgers so they expanded their dining space but I still prefer the original wooden booths next to the lovely wooden back bar. Lula's has a very "Cheers" quality to it. Well worth a detour!
