Davis and Autumn's first interaction was on the first day of chemistry class in the 2021 fall semester. Davis decided to sit in the first row to try to make a good impression on the professor. He sat next to the wheelchair cut out for some leg room and Autumn sat next to him and asked for help to move her desk.

A few weeks passed and Davis was struggling with the class, so he put a post on the KU students Facebook page asking if anyone wanted to start a study group with him and Autumn was the only one who replied. Davis introduced himself the next day and realized Autumn was the same person he helped on the first day of classes. They sat next to each other every class period. Davis liked how Autumn was kind and always talked to him.

Autumn thought he was funny and teased him about how he would watch SpongeBob in EVERY lecture.

In October, Davis asked Autumn to go get coffee with him. Once they both arrived, Autumn expressed how she did not like coffee but opted for chai instead. They had long conversations about religion, music, and other hobbies. Soon after, Autumn asked Davis if he would attend the Miss Amazing Amplify event and he happily supported her. The night of the event Davis told Autumn about his feelings for her, and Autumn originally rejected him but wanted to remain friends.

A couple more months went by, and Autumn invited him over along with some friends to her birthday party. They had a great time, except for when Davis freaked out about leaving his tux at the dry cleaners when he needed it for his performance the next day.

During finals week they hung out and studied a lot together. Finally, on December 15th, when they were taking a break from studying, Davis saw that Autumn was at Potter Lake and he came over to hang out. They ended up having some deep conversations and Davis once again said that he had feelings for Autumn. Autumn said that she had feelings for him too and that was when they officially started dating. Autumn, at first, did not want to kiss. A few days later, Davis asked Autumn if she wanted kiss and she declined but Davis said he would give her one anyways and in a true cheesy Davis fashion, he gave her a half pound Hershey kiss.

Since then, Davis and Autumn have gone on many trips together such as Tennessee for National Miss Amazing, Florida to visit Autumn's cousin Mikayla, and Texas so Autumn could meet Davis' Nana. On October 12th, Davis proposed! A month later Davis was confirmed into the Catholic Church and a month after his confirmation they attended a pilgrimage in Rome with the KU Catholic Center. Davis and Autumn are so excited for what the future holds.
