Derek&nbsp;&&nbsp;Autumn Derek&nbsp;and&nbsp;Autumn&nbsp;knew&nbsp;of&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;for&nbsp;years&nbsp;—&nbsp;ever&nbsp;since&nbsp;middle&nbsp;school.&nbsp;They&nbsp;went&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;same&nbsp;schools,&nbsp;walked&nbsp;the&nbsp;same&nbsp;hallways,&nbsp;and&nbsp;were&nbsp;even&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;same&nbsp;events.&nbsp;But&nbsp;somehow,&nbsp;they&nbsp;never&nbsp;spoke.&nbsp;Life&nbsp;kept&nbsp;them&nbsp;close,&nbsp;yet&nbsp;just&nbsp;far&nbsp;enough&nbsp;apart. That&nbsp;all&nbsp;changed&nbsp;on&nbsp;Christmas&nbsp;Day,&nbsp;2023,&nbsp;when&nbsp;Autumn&nbsp;decided&nbsp;to&nbsp;take&nbsp;a&nbsp;chance.&nbsp;She&nbsp;sent&nbsp;Derek&nbsp;a&nbsp;message&nbsp;—&nbsp;just&nbsp;a&nbsp;simple&nbsp;hello&nbsp;—&nbsp;and&nbsp;that&nbsp;message&nbsp;changed&nbsp;everything. From&nbsp;that&nbsp;first&nbsp;conversation,&nbsp;something&nbsp;clicked.&nbsp;It&nbsp;felt&nbsp;easy,&nbsp;familiar,&nbsp;like&nbsp;they'd&nbsp;been&nbsp;waiting&nbsp;all&nbsp;this&nbsp;time&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;right&nbsp;moment&nbsp;to&nbsp;finally&nbsp;find&nbsp;each&nbsp;other.&nbsp;Just&nbsp;a&nbsp;couple&nbsp;weeks&nbsp;later,&nbsp;on&nbsp;January&nbsp;8,&nbsp;2024,&nbsp;they&nbsp;made&nbsp;it&nbsp;official. Their&nbsp;connection&nbsp;only&nbsp;grew&nbsp;deeper&nbsp;from&nbsp;there.&nbsp;Laughs,&nbsp;late-night&nbsp;talks,&nbsp;and&nbsp;quiet&nbsp;moments&nbsp;turned&nbsp;into&nbsp;memories&nbsp;they&nbsp;never&nbsp;wanted&nbsp;to&nbsp;let&nbsp;go&nbsp;of.&nbsp;On&nbsp;December&nbsp;12,&nbsp;2024,&nbsp;Derek&nbsp;asked&nbsp;Autumn&nbsp;to&nbsp;marry&nbsp;him&nbsp;—&nbsp;and&nbsp;she&nbsp;said&nbsp;yes. Now,&nbsp;they’re&nbsp;counting&nbsp;down&nbsp;to&nbsp;November&nbsp;1,&nbsp;2025,&nbsp;when&nbsp;they’ll&nbsp;finally&nbsp;say&nbsp;“I&nbsp;do”&nbsp;and&nbsp;begin&nbsp;the&nbsp;next&nbsp;chapter&nbsp;of&nbsp;their&nbsp;forever.
