I'd Tell You How: It all started with me spontaneously moving to Walla Walla and Nicholas becoming my first friend. My first in stand shift was filled with a whirlwind of nerves, orders, and learning of the ropes. Amongst all the chaos, I heard my name get called from behind me. I turned around, and there he was—Nick—standing there.

From that day on, I noticed Nick showing up at the stand—randomly, or so it seemed. Whether it was early in the mornings or late in the afternoons, he always managed to be there whenever I was working. Coincidence or not (it was), his presence became a constant in my day and he never failed to make it brighter. I found myself drawn to the way he was so effortlessly present and soon, we were spending nearly every day together. Our connection deepened naturally and before I knew it, he became my best friend.

As time went on, our relationship blossomed into something incredibly special. What started with secretive flirting and shy smiles grew into endless laughter, spontaneous dance parties in random places, late-night drives, and unforgettable adventures. Whether we were shotgunning Rebels in the stand or just talking for hours about life, every moment brought us closer.

As months turned into years, I found myself falling deeper in love with him. It wasn’t just the big moments but all of the small ones, and everything in between—it's how he always matched my energy, embraced my quirks, and has a way of soothing my restless spirit. It's how he looks at me with such undeniable love, and above all, it's the happiness he brings into my life that made me realize that he’s the one I’m meant to spend forever with.

August 16th, 2024—a day forever etched in my heart. We were at Newport beach for what I thought was just a photoshoot. I was told to face the ocean, with Nick coming up from behind to give me a bear hug. I stood there staring at the ocean as our photographer adjusted her lens but when I was asked to turn around there was Nick—down on one knee. My legs giving out and my heart overflowed with joy as it was the easiest yes and most beautiful moment in our lives.

Now, as I look back on every laugh, every dance, every whispered dream, I see how all those moments led us here. And I couldn’t be more grateful. Because I get to spend forever loving him, showing him just how much he means to me, and building a life together that is every bit as beautiful as the love we share.
