It all started in April 2022 at the Kracht get-together. Mack and I were both invited, and that's where we met. We first connected during a game of Apples to Apples, of all things! We had such a good time laughing over funny cards, and something about that moment just clicked. After the game, neither of us could stop thinking about each other, hoping we'd end up in the same meeting the next morning. And we did!

The next day, after meeting, I saw Mack in the lunch line and couldn't resist approaching him. We spent the whole time chatting about all the things we loved to do, and I felt like I was talking to someone I had known forever. But then, in typical me fashion, I somehow managed to spill my tacos everywhere right after that — classic, right? After that, we had to say goodbye, but not before Mack gave everyone a hug as an excuse to hug me for the first time.

On the way home, my friends could tell I was thinking about him, but I was so embarrassed that I couldn't remember his name! I told them, "I don't even like him," even though I really did. It took a few weeks, but I couldn't stop thinking about him, and I finally remembered his name and added him on Instagram.

Mack was relieved when I reached out because he was starting to wonder if he should make a move. We started sending each other Instagram reels and texting late into the night, talking for hours, sometimes until 2 a.m. But then, Mack told me he was moving to Wyoming, and I was devastated. It felt like I was losing someone I had just started to care about so deeply.

The next night, we decided to play truth or dare, and it was then that Mack confessed he liked me, and we decided to give this long-distance thing a try. We stayed up all night, talking about how we could make it work. On May 9, 2022, we officially started dating.

A week later, Mack came to visit my family's farm, and it was only the second time we'd seen each other in person. That’s when he told me he loved me, and I said it back a week later after knowing for sure how I felt.

Since then, we’ve been through so much together, facing challenges and hard times, but through it all, we’ve grown so much closer to each other and to God. Our love has deepened in ways we never imagined, and we’re both incredibly grateful for the journey we’ve shared so far.
