Our Story

Her Perspective:

It all started when Ben reached out to me about Pine Cove, the church camp I worked at. He was interested in working there as well, and I had heard so many great things about him through mutual friends. After chatting about the camp, I invited him over to hang out. We decided to make homemade cookies, but they turned out to be a complete disaster! I burned them, and they tasted awful.

But Ben, being the sweetheart he is, insisted on taking them home to share with his roommates, claiming they were wonderful. My mom had suggested I make cookies so the house would smell yummy, and so that every time Ben saw cookies, he’d think of me. My dad reminded me that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach—and to this day, Ben and I still have cookie dates that take us back to that first sweet memory. Little did I know, that small gesture would lead to Ben asking me on a date the very next day.

We went to Chuy’s and spent over three hours in our booth, absorbed in conversation. We instantly connected, and Ben made his intentions clear from the start. He has loved, cherished, and prioritized me ever since.

We started dating on October 12, 2023, and on January 25, 2025, Ben proposed to me. We’re inseparable, and I’m beyond excited to spend forever with him. I am so thankful that the Lord has entrusted me to be Bens wife!

His Perspective:

Autumn and I met through mutual friends, and from the very beginning, I knew there was something special about her. When I found out she was a summer counselor at Pine Cove, I was eager to ask her about it since I was interested in working there myself. That conversation quickly turned into an easy and natural connection. The first time we hung out at her house, she was incredibly warm, welcoming, and kind. She even made cookies for us—though she may have burned them, they were still made with love!

What stood out to me the most was her radiant joy. Autumn is so bubbly, easy to talk to, and beautiful inside and out. Her heart for Jesus shines through everything she does, and she represents Christ so well. From that very first time together, I knew I wanted to keep getting to know her. It didn’t take long before I realized just how special she was. After a few more times hanging out, I asked her to be my girlfriend—and the rest is history. Now, I can't wait for the day when I get to call her my wife.
