Our Wedding

Our story dates back to the year 2020. Ava's older brother, Austin, moved to College Station, Texas, to pursue his studies at Texas A&amp;M University. During Thanksgiving break, he returned home and informed Ava that upon her own move to College Station the following year, she was only allowed to date one specific guy—Will Hauptrief. Having met Will and recognized his distinct qualities compared to others, Austin, in his role as a protective brother and confidant, was determined that Ava should meet him. As time progressed to the fall of 2021, Ava moved to College Station and attended church one Sunday morning with Austin and his now-fiancée, Brooke Bingham. Austin not so subtly guided Ava to sit next to a random guy in the aisle, a gesture that left Ava with the clear sense that she was being set up. That guy was Will. Will and Ava only spoke once that morning but it was the beginning of their story together. In the years that followed, Will extended an invitation to take Ava on a date at the start of each year. However, each time, The Lord told Ava, 'not yet'. While this guidance seemed confusing at the time, looking back it was evident that The Lord was preparing Will and Ava individually to commit their lives together when the timing was right. On August 23, 2023, Will and Ava embarked on their first official date, and both immediately recognized that their future together was destined for marriage. With the Lord as the cornerstone of their relationship, they are now ready to dedicate their lives to serving one another and the Lord’s Kingdom.
