Chase and I are excited to get married on May 31st! Here is our story...
I was looking for a job that was near where I was living in Ames. I looked on Google maps and saw that nearby was a sweet bed and breakfast called Raspberry Hill. I emailed the owner to see if they were hiring and I heard back right away, asking if I would come in for an interview. The next day, I went in and met with the owners... Chase's parents! They hired me and I worked a wedding that weekend. I really loved learning more about their family business and how Christ-centered it was.
Chase's mom (Gina) soon started talking a lot about her son, Chase. She told me about how sweet he was and how similar we were to one another. I finally was able to meet him and I immediately felt a spark! We then worked together multiple times at weddings during the weekends. When we worked together, I noticed how kind and gentle he was. I really felt comfortable talking to him and I could really be myself around him. After the second time we worked together, he asked me if I wanted to swing dance with him. I couldn't believe it, that is something I had always wanted to learn! We had so much fun learning how to swing dance together. shortly after that we went on our first official date, dinner and going to Salt. When we went out to dinner he prayed for us and that was when I started to notice his love for the Lord.
I was invited to Chase's birthday party a week after at Raspberry Hill. When I was on the way there, I ended up in the ditch. I was so embarrassed that this happened but little did I know that God provided this time for Chase to meet my dad. I called my dad to let him know, but by the time he got there Chase was already with me. He had a chain under my car and gave me a flannel to wear because it was cold. My dad got to see how loving, caring, and hardworking Chase is.
Soon after, I realized this was the man I wanted to be with for the rest of my life. I never knew that I could love anyone more than Chase. I have really seen how much he is a man after God's own heart, and with that he has brought me closer to the Lord. I have never felt a love like this before.
