During my junior year of high school, a close friend suggested that Chandler and I might be perfect for each other. I agreed to get to know him, and before long, our friendship quickly turned into something more. Those first few weeks were filled with late-night FaceTime calls, golf outings, and frozen yogurt dates—simple moments that meant everything.One day, while we were out together, Chandler rear-ended a car because he was too busy looking at me through the rearview mirror instead of watching the road. His back window was down, and I caught him staring at me. I guess that was the moment I realized he might like me just as much as I liked him—minor car accident and all.We became close very quickly. At the start of our relationship, we actually had to keep our distance—literally—because Chandler’s dad was sick. And thanks to COVID, we were forced to sit six feet apart on the porch like a couple of love-struck teenagers. But somehow, that distance brought us even closer. From then on, we’ve been pretty much inseparable.Over the years, Chandler has been the greatest blessing I never could’ve imagined. He’s been there through every high and low—from losing my dad, to getting accepted into Samford’s nursing program, to celebrating my mom’s new marriage. Chandler is the kind of person who will cheer you on, cry with you, hold your hand through heartbreak, and jump with you in the joyful moments.If you know us, you know how excited we are to be married. This isn’t just my dream—it’s his too. Chandler is the boy I prayed for as a little girl—and the man I can’t wait to spend forever with!!
