The day that started it all! Joe and I both happened to be recruitment chairs at Louisiana Tech during the summer of 2018. I congratulated him on a job well done after he finished rush and we somehow ended up spending most of the day together.

Fast forward a few weeks, we met up at the red tables on campus where we would actually end up having a lot of our important conversations down the road. Joe decided to shoot his shot and asked me on a date, to which I said ~maybe later~ :) I knew I was leaving for med school soon and wasn't sure if it was worth starting any sort of relationship

Luckily for me, Joe is a persistent guy and I eventually came to my senses and agreed to go on a date with him.

Once we started dating, we pretty much both knew right away this was headed for marriage and spent the next couple years just getting to know each other and figuring out how to be "adults"

I moved back to Shreveport and started med school

Joe graduated college ~ covid style ~

and he even survived his first Bryan family vacation

Joe moved to Shreveport and started his first big boy job as an agent for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (if anyone figures out what he actually does please let me know)

Meanwhile I finished up my second year of med school and survived the dreaded Step 1 thanks to a little help from these people.

And then, after lots of sneaky planning, Joe executed the most thoughtful proposal and we got to celebrate with all our friends and family

Engagement has been a fun season but we are both counting down the days until April 30th. Joe is kind and patient and balances me in all the ways I never knew I needed. I used to not be so sure about this whole "love" thing but can now confirm that it is pretty much the greatest thing ever. Everyone needs a Joe Bingham in their life.
