As two juniors in high school, we were youngins at the Porch at Watermark introduced by a mutual friend. I instantly had a crush on George, while he had absolutely no idea and had no interest. After a couple of Instagram DMs and Snapchats exchanged, George finally started catching on, and we spent Covid quarantine hanging out with our group of mutual friends. Fast forward after a summer at camp and in Colorado, George finally asked me on a date in August, and we started dating shortly after in September of our senior year of high school.
Even at a young age, we knew it was something special, and we had the best time getting to attend our dream university *WHOOP* together, building friendships and making the best memories. It was certainly a marathon of patience to date for over four years, but we are beyond thankful for the extra bit of life we got to spend together. The Lord has been so kind to grow us and our relationship with each other deeper and deeper as we fall more in love with each other and our Father.
Finally, on November 24, 2024, George proposed behind the barn at his family's farm in Burton. Throughout the end of high school and all of college, we have gotten to make the sweetest memories at the farm with each other, our friends, and family. We spend our time riding horses, fishing, chasing cows, cooking food, playing games, and making fires. We could not imagine a more special place to get engaged, and now, invite all our closest family and friends to celebrate our wedding with.
We cannot wait for October 4th to celebrate with the people who have poured into and supported us throughout the years. Our relationship is the greatest gift from the Lord, and we are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together serving Him. Please join us these coming months in prayer over our marriage and future family!
