This hotel is slightly closer to the train station and near more shopping.
We stayed here during our trip in September and loved it! The views were amazing and we really enjoyed the food nearby. The area is further from the train station, less busy, and has less shopping.
Travel Advice:
- Pack essentials in carry-on and personal item if you plan to check a bag. Checked bags get lost a lot, especially if you have a shorter layover.
- Verizon service did not work in Italy but AT&T did, using an e-sim may be more reliable
- We were recommended to visit Bellagio while in Lecco
- Driving in Lecco is not very difficult, we recommend renting a car from Denti and using Waze to navigate
- Trains:
- Changing train time is very easy as long as you do it before departure
- Make sure your train ticket is validated or that you check in
- There are lots of kiosks at the train station to purchase a ticket or you can purchase a ticket beforehand
- It is very easy to navigate the trains, buses, and metro using apple maps
- If you miss your train and cannot change the time because it is after your departure you can usually catch the next one and pay a small fee for the change
- The trains will have platform assignments as they arrive and it may not automatically update on your ticket, be sure the check the screens using your train number for your platform
