Aria Rezaie - Best Man
Hi everyone! I’m Aria, Emad’s (favorite) cousin and best man. One of my favorite memories is from when he first came to Canada and was apartment hunting. At a showing, I said, “Hi, I’m Aria.” Emad followed with, “Hi, I’m Aria.” I waited for the joke—but he was serious. The landlords looked confused: “You have the same name?” Emad just smiled. I quickly jumped in, “No, he’s Emad.” And he goes, “Oh yeah—I’m Emad. Oops.” Safe to say, he didn’t get the place.
Alyssa Sajul - Best Woman
Hi, my name is Alyssa! I have a passion for exploring the world, experiencing new cultures and tasting different foods!
I met Emad in university through a friend, and we later became housemates during my final year. Ever since then, he’s become like a brother to me—someone who’s been there through all the laughs, the stressful times studying for an exam and through the few house dramas we’ve had with other housemates lol
Kamran Delsetan - Groomsman
My name is Kamran, and I’m one of Emad’s oldest friends! I’m currently in the UK. Emad and I have been friends since we were 14 or 15, and our friendship has only grown stronger over the years. We’ve made so many great memories together! One that stands out is when we decided to try snowboarding for the first time at Tochal ski resort. Neither of us knew what we were doing—we borrowed gear, got up the mountain, and somehow made it down with numb bums and big smiles. That day sparked our shared love of snowboarding and snow!
Shahin Jafari - Groomsman
Hola amigos, I’m Shahin — the loudest guy in most rooms, and proudly one of Emad’s long-time partners-in-chaos. We met during university, back when Emad was in his golden era of coming up with the most brilliant terrible ideas. One that lives rent-free in my head: it’s a freezing, windy November day, and we’re standing outside a candy-making shop, holding ice cream — yes, ice cream — watching through the window as they make sweets from scratch. For 25 minutes. We never went in. We never tried the candy. It made no sense… and yet, it was pure Emad: random, relentless, and chaotically perfect.
Rishi Modgil - Groomsman
I’m Rishi, and I’ve known Emad since September 2018, when I moved into the Elderberry house—everything took off from there! One memory that really stands out is when I was watching Family Guy, and Emad came downstairs to cook and chill. We didn’t know each other well yet, and I wasn’t sure if we’d click. It was the episode where Peter becomes a Muslim, and I was nervous it might offend him, but Emad was the one laughing the hardest! That’s when I knew he had a great sense of humour. Nearly seven years later, he’s getting married—what a journey!
Josh Braganza - Groomsman
Hi, my name is Josh. I love watching sports like basketball, F1, and soccer. I also tend to yap about stocks or what business venture I want to try next. I met Emad 7 years ago at university, and we've been close ever since! Our friendship grew from living together, and we’ve kept in touch through cottage trips and chats about job struggles. Bonus: I get tons of dating tips from him… not that they’ve helped much.
Megan Keith - Bridesmaid
Hi! I’m Megan, one of the bride’s younger sisters (number two out of four in the lineup!). We’ve been dreaming about this day since our Say Yes to the Dress marathons as kids. It’s surreal that it’s finally here, and even more special to be standing by her side for it!
Cassie Keith - Bridesmaid
Hi! I'm Cassie, one of Avery's younger sisters. I am so honoured to stand by her on her special day, as she has always shown up for me in so many ways. She's one of my best friends, someone I can always lean on, and—most importantly—a wonderful sister. I’m very excited for Avery and Emad to begin this new chapter together. Just a heads-up: you might catch me getting more emotional than Emad on their special day!
Ginger Keith - Bridesmaid
Hi! I'm Ginger, the youngest sibling of the bride. I've looked up to Avery my whole life—she's always been my built-in best friend, biggest role model, and the person who can instantly put a smile on my face. She deserves all the love in the world, and it's been so special to watch her journey of happiness and never-ending love with Emad. I'm so proud to be standing beside her on such a huge day and to celebrate this beautiful new chapter with her.
Nikki Bajcar - Bridesmaid
Hi, I'm Nikki! I met Avery in 2019 through a roommate ad, and from our first hug, I knew we’d be close. From Bachelor nights with wine and tea, to “hikes” with Starbucks in hand, to drinking our way through Portugal and chatting about books—our friendship has been full of laughter and love. Avery always shows up, whether it’s with dinner, a plan, or a smile. I’m so happy she found Emad, someone who shows up for her too. And yes—I take full credit for their meeting. So honoured to stand by her!
Brittney Sureshkumar - Bridesmaid
Hi! My name is Brittney, and Avery and I met during our Master's program, and we quickly bonded over study sessions, movie nights, and sweet treat adventures. Since then, we've been there for each other through countless milestones, and I couldn't be happier to stand by her side as she begins this new chapter!
