After graduating College in May of 2021, Kyle and Avery both moved to Cleveland, Ohio to begin their careers. Shortly after starting her job in Cleveland, Avery traveled to her company headquarters in Cincinnati for orientation, where she met Ayushman Dey (Kyle’s college roommate and Groomsman). After finding out that Avery moved to Cleveland and didn’t know anyone, Ayushman gave Kyle her number. The first thing he told Kyle was “Don’t mess it up”.

Shortly following, Kyle texted Avery and invited her to join his group of friends for a night out in downtown Cleveland. He picked her up and the first thing she noticed was how clean his car was. As the night went on, the group became smaller and smaller and in the end it was just Kyle and Avery. The two sat outside at Punch Bowl Social, where they talked for an additional two hours learning all about each other.

After that first night, they texted throughout the next few weeks, where eventually Avery asked Kyle out to a show at the local theater in Cleveland, which ended up being their first date. One thing led to another, and the two soon made it official.

As time went on, Kyle and Avery spent almost all of their free time together. Avery brought Kyle all across the US to places he’d never been before, such as Norman, OK to cheer on the Sooners, Las Vegas for her cousin's wedding, and Dallas to visit her Family over Christmas. Avery quickly became a favorite among the Novak family as everyone loved how she and Kyle fit together.

Fast forward to July of 2023, where Kyle surprised Avery by proposing to her on a beautiful bridge in Chagrin Falls, OH. He then continued the surprise by taking Avery to a winery where her parents and grandmother were anxiously awaiting their arrival along with the Novak clan. This meant that Kyle successfully kept not one but two secrets from Avery for the first time ever as her family was not due to Cleveland until the following day - or so she thought….

Over the last couple of years Kyle and Avery have created wonderful memories with one another and can’t wait to create many more over the years to come!
