Avery and Zach met in 2020 as freshmen at Wheaton College through a shared economics class and mutual friends.

In January of 2021, Zach asked Avery out on their first date and they went to Fire and Wine for dinner followed by Andy’s for custard. At the end of their date, Zach asked Avery to be his girlfriend.

Zach and Avery spent the next two and a half years watching sports (Go Blue!), playing on multiple champion IM teams, spending time with family and friends at Avery’s home in Pennsylvania and Zach’s home in Illinois, going on trips to Georgia, Florida, and Michigan, playing endless board games, being full time college students, and becoming closer to each other and God.

On October 15th 2023, Zach surprised Avery on her favorite hike in Jackson Hole Wyoming and proposed with both of their families cheering them on. They are thrilled to be getting married and are so excited to celebrate with all of you very soon!
