Avery and Dylan met in springtime of 2022 as classmates taking the same UGA PE class, Intro to Backpacking and Hiking. Dylan waited a whole week after the overnight hiking trip up Mount Yonah before asking her out on a date, and they have treasured every moment together since.

They survived long distance as Avery studied abroad in Oxford, UK. Facetiming each other as often as they could across time zones, reading to each other and doing virtual date nights, they learned a thing or two about communication.

Dylan brought Avery up to the great mountains of VA for the first time! Road trips up into the mountains and apple picking are things they wouldn't trade for the world.

During their time at UGA, Avery brought Dylan countless treats, encouraging little notes, and sweet hugs on his long nights studying for chemistry and anatomy classes. Dylan got to be the loudest guy in the crowd at many UGA dance performances, research conferences, and Honors ceremonies, beaming as he watched his lovely fiancée in the spotlight.

Avery introduced Dylan to the arts! Her passion for storytelling and creative beauty carried him from art galleries to classic ballets to Celtic folk performances and more.

They explored European museums, saw castles, danced to flourishing fiddles in Irish pubs, ice skated in Hyde Park, and reunited with some old friends in London upon going back to the UK-- together this time!!

They have shared countless adventures and memories together (see the Photos tab for more!!) and their hearts are overflowing as they dance into this new season of life together as husband and wife.
