We first met in 2019 at Northern Michigan University, living on the same dorm floor. I thought Alexander was cute, and luckily, he thought I was pretty cute too! After some time getting to know each other, we went on our first date in October and made it official on January 18, 2020.

Then came 2020—when the pandemic hit. I went back home to live with my parents, while Alexander returned to Grand Rapids. It was a long summer apart, but our connection only grew stronger. We were so excited to reunite when school started up again that fall and made the most of our time together.

In August 2021, we took the next step and moved in together on Longyear Ave in Marquette, MI! That year, I graduated a semester early in December and started a remote job, while Alexander continued his studies.

In 2022, we attempted a vacation to Yellowstone, but life had other plans when Alexander's car broke down in Buffalo, WY—just 4 hours from our destination! So, we made the best of it, towed the car back home, and saved the adventure for another time.

Fast forward to 2023—Alexander graduated and landed a job with Minnesota Power, which led to our big move to Duluth, MN. It was such an exciting new chapter for us!

Later that year, Alexander surprised me with the most thoughtful proposal in one of our favorite places, Copper Harbor, MI. Of course, I said YES!

Now, here we are in 2024, planning our wedding and looking forward to celebrating with all of you. We have so many exciting plans for the big day and can’t wait to party with each of you as we continue our journey together!
