Our Wedding

Avonda and Larry’s Journey to Forever It all began in May 2021 in the charming city of Charleston, South Carolina, where Avonda and Larry first crossed paths through work. Neither could have imagined that what started as a simple conversation would evolve into a love story for the ages. Larry was immediately struck by Avonda’s stunning grace and beauty, but she wasn’t paying much attention to him—she was just focused and on getting to a meeting on time. In an attempt to be polite, Avonda gave Larry a phone number, but it wasn’t quite right. It was a quick move, one she didn’t think much of at the time. But Larry, determined and undeterred, wasn’t ready to let go of the connection he felt. Their first lunch date didn’t exactly go as planned. Avonda’s bad restaurant choice left them both disappointed, but what could have been a letdown turned into a moment of unexpected connection. In the midst of the less-than-ideal meal, they found themselves laughing together, talking for hours, and discovering just how much they had in common. The conversation flowed effortlessly, and they realized they were captivated by each other’s company. Over time, things blossomed naturally. They laughed, traveled, and shared meaningful moments that solidified their bond. What began as an unexpected meeting in Charleston blossomed into a love that neither could have predicted but both have come to cherish deeply. Today, as they stand on the brink of forever, they are filled with gratitude for the journey that brought them here. A journey that began with a meeting in Charleston, a fake number, a bad restaurant, and a spark that neither could resist. And so, with hearts full of love and excitement, they invite you to join them as they celebrate this beautiful new chapter in their lives.

Our Story

Engagement Photos

I met Larry in 1995, shortly after I moved to Paxon between elementary and middle school. I was nervous about the transition-not only was I stepping into a new neighborhood, but I was also facing the daunting challenge of middle school. I didn’t know anyone, but the first two people I encountered were Larry and Travis, who both lived next door. From the moment we met, Larry’s warmth and positivity put me at ease. He made me feel like I belonged, showing me that there was nothing to fear.

Larry has always been a beacon of encouragement. Even when you feel like throwing in the towel, God blessed Larry with the words of comfort and inspiration to lift you up. From childhood friends to the men we are today, we’ve watched each other grow and our bond has only deepened with time. Through it all, we’ve always held onto a shared motto: “We gone meet each other at the top.”

About Me: A proud husband and father of three-two daughters and a son, and dedicated Deacon. Professionally, I am a civil engineer/project administrator with a strong commitment to my faith, family, and career.

From childhood to adulthood, we shared an abundance of memories, laughter, and adventures that have deepened our bond. I’ve always been a pillar of encouragement and strength, offering comfort in moments of need and joy in times of celebration. Whether through intimate late-night conversations or treasured family traditions, I’ve been a constant presence in her life.

It is with immense love and pride that I stand beside my sister on this momentous day, celebrating the beautiful journey that lies ahead with Larry. I am overjoyed to witness this new chapter and wish for a lifetime filled with boundless happiness and love.
