Things to Do

Ibiza Old Town & Medieval Fair

Picture of Ibiza Old Town & Medieval Fair

Ibiza old town is the center of Ibiza, which offers a great space for walking, shopping, and restaurants - great to explore day or night. Lucky for us, the Medieval Fair is during the week of our wedding!

We recommend visiting Dalt Vila/Ibiza Old Town & Cathedral. This site has wonderful panoramic views, a treasure trove of history, mystery and discoveries, spanning 2,500 years, are all encapsulated in this UNESCO World Heritage site. You can pop by the Museum of Contemporary Arts (MACE) and explore the small artisanal shops that decorate the winding roads.

Other than Dalt Vila, we recommend strolling around the following nearby areas:

- Vara de Rey

- Plaza del Parque

- The Port / La Marina

Sunsets in Ibiza

Picture of Sunsets in Ibiza

You can see the best sunsets in Ibiza anywhere on the west coast. Besides our wedding venvue, we listed a few of our favorites:

Es Vedrà

One of the most iconic landmarks of the island and holds a mystical and enchanting allure. Due to its remote location and rugged cliffs, Es Vedrà is inaccessible by land, making it even more alluring and mysterious. However, visitors can admire its beauty from afar by taking a boat trip around the island or finding viewpoints along the coastline of Ibiza. The island's striking silhouette against the backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea is a captivating sight, especially during sunrise and sunset when the colors of the sky create a breathtaking spectacle.

Es Vedrà is not only a visually stunning natural wonder but also an emblematic symbol of the island's charm and allure. Its enigmatic presence continues to fascinate and attract visitors, leaving them with a lasting impression of the mystical side of Ibiza.

Hostal La Torre, Sant Antoni

Marc and Avril's favorite sunset spot. Perched on a cliff overlooking the sea, Hostal La Torre offers a unique and tranquil retreat for visitors. The hotel features a traditional Ibiza-style building with whitewashed walls and rustic details, blending seamlessly with its natural surroundings. Grab a mojito from the bar and head down to the wildflowers and rocks for stunning views.

Benniras Beach

The beach is characterized by its golden sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and surrounding lush green hills. It is nestled in a small bay, creating a sense of seclusion and tranquility. The calm and shallow waters make it an ideal spot for swimming and snorkeling. One of the unique features of Benniras Beach is the prominent rock formation known as Cap Bernat or "The Finger of God." This iconic landmark rises from the sea, adding to the scenic beauty of the beach.

Every Sunday evening, musicians gather on the beach to play drums and create an enchanting rhythm as the sun sets over the horizon. This tradition has been going on for decades and attracts people from all around the island for an unforgettable experience.

Formentera

Picture of Formentera

Formentera is a small island off the coast of Ibiza, easily accessible by a quick 30 minute ferry ride. A Mediterranean gem, a paradise of pristine beaches with turquoise waters and powdery white sand. Its natural beauty is awe-inspiring, with pine forests, salt marshes, and rocky cliffs adding to its charm. This small island exudes tranquility and a laid-back vibe, making it an ideal retreat from bustling city life. Formentera offers outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, and water sports, while also embracing its hippie culture with markets and cultural events. With a delightful local cuisine featuring fresh seafood and traditional Balearic dishes, Formentera is a slice of heaven that captivates visitors with its simplicity and natural splendor.

There are multiple ferries from Ibiza to Formentera throughout the day. We recommended the following companies to check out:
