Attire

"Garden Party, Semi-Formal, Backyard Wedding...." whatever that means to you, we want you to be comfortable. Please keep in mind it will be summer, so likely very warm. We will have parisols and shade, but please dress according to weather. The cermony and reception will be outside. Ladies- We will be on grass the entire time. We recommend a chunky heel, wedges, or flats.

Plus Ones

We wish we could accommodate everyone, but we have a restricted amount of guests allowed at the venue. Your RSVP will specify whether you are allowed to bring a plus one. If unsure, please don't hesitate to reach out to Ayden and ask! Kiddos are invited and will be included in your RSVP, but if unsure, please ask Ayden. There is a playground nearby if they need to get some wiggles out.

Food/ Allergies

We will have a meat-dominant dinner option (chicken and carnita tacos) with vegetarian options as sides. Please reach out if you have allergy concerns and we will contact our caterer and do our best to accommodate.

RSVP

Please ensure you RSVP by May 30th. The earlier the better to secure your accommodations and ensure we have an accurate guest list for our vendors.

Q + A

Flying from out of state?

If you're flying in from out-of-state, we recommend you fly into Wenatchee airport. Wenatchee airport is located approximately 30 minutes away, downriver from Sun Cove. If you are unable to book a flight into Wenatchee, you can also fly into Seattle, Everett (PAE), or Spokane. Each of these airports are approximately a 3 hour drive from Sun Cove.

Driving?

If you're driving from Seattle, we recommend taking Highway 2. Lucky for you, there will likely be no weather concerns on the pass in July, so enjoy the scenic North Cascades and stop in Leavenworth for ice cream or a sandwich from Dan's!

Travel

To-Do In Sun Cove

There's plenty to do in Sun Cove if you'd like to park once and stay put! Water Sports are the main attraction at Sun Cove.PoolThere is a community pool. You will need a Fob to access the clubhouse and pool. Normal pool hours: 9 AM - 10 PM daily River FunThe Columbia is seconds away. There are 2 beaches and 3 coves accessible via Sun Cove. Although cold, it is a clean and refreshing river we love to swim in every year. Access the river from the community docks, swim beach, or small beach access in from of the Morris' cabin (tide dependent) FishingWhether off the dock, a boat, or a board, we have all caught a variety of fish in the Columbia. From Smallmouth bass to Salmon, Mitch will help rig you up and we will have poles for anyone to borrow. BoatingAccess to boat dependent! Surfing, tubing, fishing, fun! Paddle BoardingWe will have at least 4 paddle boards available for anyone to borrow. If feeling adventurous, you can paddle board across the river to Goosetail Rock "Cliff Jumping""Jumping Goosetail" is a must-do if in Sun Cove. Accessed by boat/ board, Goosetail is a large rock formation directly across from the Morris' cabin. Other Outdoor activities at Sun Cove- Pickleball/ Tennis (2 courts available by Clubhouse)- Basketball (court available by Clubhouse)- Volleyball- Disc Golf (Frolf) Course- 9 holes- Gazebo- for shady reading- Playground access by clubhouse/ docks- Trails- Sun Cove has a small trail network on the south side of the community. Great for walking the dog, or short morning runs Indoor Activities (Clubhouse)- pool table (also one at the cabin)- chess and checker table- ping pong table- foosball table Other Indoor Activities we recommend at your rental and/or the Morris' Cabin- Cards- Pool- Croquet (warning, don't play against Mitchell unless you want to lose)- Darts- Reading

Chelan

If you're looking for a short day trip, head up to Chelan!Just 20 minutes away, Chelan is known for wineries, good food, and one of the most iconic (and warmest) lakes in the state! Wineries- some favorites- Tsillan Cellars- Fielding Hills Winery- Nefarious Cellars

Desert Canyon

Desert Canyon is a premier golf resort, just 10 minutes downriver of Sun Cove. Book early, as this place is popular!

Rocky Pond Winery

Rocky Pond is a brand new winery right next to Sun Cove (just upriver). We have not yet attended, but they have great reviews, and would be a good spot to get a classy drink.

Rental House in Sun Cove

There are many options for staying in and around Sun Cove! If you plan to rent a house in Sun Cove,please note that rentals for the summer will be posted in November or December. Home rentals in the community are limited, so please keep your eyes out on Air BnB and VRBO!

Desert Canyon Golf Resort

Campbell's Resort on Lake Chelan

Campbell's is a popular resort in Chelan. If you're looking for a lake front stay, this is a great option for you! Beebe Bridge Park

Are you hoping to camp? 23459 US-97, ORONDO, WA 98843, USA(509) 663-8121 This is a campsite that is only about a 15 minute drive to the venue. They do have RV hookups or regular tent camping. Reservations for this campsite open up in Feb, and are usually booked quickly!

Other

You are allowed to camp on the lawn at the cabin the night of the wedding, if that fits your fancy. Wenatchee is 30 minutes downriver, and offers a variety of hotel and air bnb choices. Chelan is 25 minutes upriver, and offers a variety of hotel and air bnb choices.
