Our StorySome love stories begin with grand gestures, whirlwind romance, or fate stepping in at the perfect moment.Ours started at… Barnes &amp; Noble.For months, Ayla was there almost daily, typing up therapy notes like a responsible adult. While also not-so-secretly noticing the cute guy who somehow always wandered into her peripheral vision. That cute guy was Bao. He, however, remained blissfully unaware that he was the main character in Ayla’s personal romantic comedy. Naturally, she assumed he was taken… or uninterested… or simply too handsome to be approached before coffee.One day, Ayla made the mistake of mentioning her Barnes &amp; Noble crush to a coworker... The kind of coworker who threatened to &amp; absolutely would march into a bookstore &amp; announce it to a stranger. Since Ayla wasn’t eager to star in that kind of public spectacle, she decided she had no choice but to handle the situation herself.That night, she walked in, determined… nervous… &amp; absolutely committed to pretending she needed a child development book. A book she knew for a fact was not in stock on that shelf. Because Ayla knew that section like the back of her hand.Bao, who worked there, took his time looking for this non-existent book... long enough for Ayla to think, “Wow… he might not be great at this job.” But as it turns out, he did know the store very well. He was just stalling so he could talk to her longer.They ended up talking for hours, the kind of easy, natural conversation that makes time disappear. Our Wedding PartyFor our vow renewal, we chose to honor a small wedding party made up of individuals from both the bride’s and groom’s lives who have been especially present in this season of our journey. These are people who have consistently shown love, acceptance, and encouragement. Not only during big moments or attached to specific going ons in our lives, but in the everyday moments. They are the ones who check in, reach out “just because,” share their personal and intimate thoughts and concerns, but also take time to learn more about ours. These individuals currently pour into our family with sincerity and care. Their presence in our lives has been steady, meaningful, &amp; deeply appreciated blessing. While we are surrounded by many friends and loved ones who mean the world to us, this wedding party represents a reflection of the relationships that have stepped up and stepped in... they are walking closely with us during this current chapter. Regardless of a "role" or "title" for this one day...this one page... in our love story, we are grateful for each person who has supported our marriage, our family, and our growth — in big ways and small — and we feel incredibly blessed to celebrate alongside all of you.

Our sweet little girl will grace us with her presence. She represents the love that we share and we are blessed to have her be a part of this joyous event.
