We first crossed paths many years ago at a gathering in Memphis, Tennessee. With shared friends and similar social circles, our lives intertwined here and there, but we didn’t connect right away. Back then, we were just two people finding our way, unaware of how significant we’d eventually become to each other.

As the years went by, we both grew, changed, and discovered more about who we wanted to be. It wasn’t until 2022 that our connection truly blossomed. One day, Simundy reached out to Aylin, sparking something that felt both brand new and like it had been waiting to happen all along. From that moment on, everything just fell into place, and our lives have been intertwined ever since.

As time went on, we continued to grow as individuals, learning more about each other and making the effort to visit whenever we could. The distance posed its challenges, with Simundy in Sacramento, CA and Aylin in Hot Springs, AR, but it never stopped us from deepening our connection. We began introducing each other to our close friends and families, creating a bond that felt more and more like home.

Then, Simundy made a decision—he knew he wanted to propose. On September 2, 2024, in the breathtaking Yosemite National Park, a place we had both dreamed of visiting together one day, he asked Aylin to be his partner for life. Surrounded by close family and friends, she said yes, and here we are, ready to begin this next chapter together.

Nos cruzamos por primera vez hace muchos años en una reunión en Memphis, Tennessee. Con amigos en común y círculos sociales similares, nuestras vidas se entrelazaron aquí y allá, pero no nos conectamos de inmediato. Luego, Simundy tomó una decisión: sabía que quería proponer. El 2 de septiembre de 2024, en el impresionante Parque Nacional Yosemite, un lugar con el que ambos habíamos soñado visitar juntos algún día, le pidió a Aylin que fuera su compañera de vida. Rodeados de familia y amigos cercanos, ella dijo que sí, y aquí estamos, listos para comenzar este próximo capítulo juntos.
