Ayva and Quinn grew up in Powell, Ohio, knowing each other their whole lives: going to the same school, knowing the same people, yet never seeming to become friends. Until their junior year at Olentangy Liberty High School, when they were assigned seats right next to each other in Chemistry class. They quickly became each other's "wingmen" as they helped the other work through their own relationships at the time. Going on random car rides to McDonald’s and talking on the phone, they soon became close friends. In the winter of their senior year of high school, their close connection led them to realize that the love they were searching for was right in front of them this whole time. On February 8th, 2021, they started dating when Quinn built up the courage to ask the long-waited question after going on a Valentine's Day dinner date.

After a little more than half a year of dating, Ayva was set to attend the University of Tennessee while Quinn to attend the University of Kentucky. This began their mark of having a long-distance relationship. Though having plenty of incredible experiences at their respective colleges along with lots of “facetime date-nights” and surprise deliveries, the Lord led them back home as they both transferred back to the Ohio State University to begin their sophomore year of college.

Just when they thought loving each other would get easier being back home, it got harder. At the beginning of their sophomore year of college at OSU, they decided to take a break. For the next year, they wrestled with growing on their own while also seeing each other often as they were next door neighbors, went to the same church and still had the same friend group. They were able to grow abundantly in their love for Jesus and discover who they were.

During the summer of 2023, they reconnected and agreed to go on their (second) first date on June 1st. On Thursday, July 6th, 2023, Quinn surprised Ayva with flowers at a local boat dock during sunset and asked her to be his girlfriend (again).

After a little over a year of dating for the second time, “round two” as they both call it, Quinn proposed to Ayva on August 8th, 2024, at the Columbus Park of Roses. He surprised her with a walk around the beautiful park. He then got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him, and she said yes! The two are now set to get married on August 2nd, 2025, at the Bryn Du Mansion in Granville, Ohio!

Ayva and Quinn hope their story can be seen as a testament to Jesus’ faithfulness and an example of God’s love to others. They cannot wait to celebrate their union with family and friends this upcoming August!
