On July 11, 2017, Azim and Natasha met at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, TX, during a religious event known as the Diamond Jubilee. Little did Azim know, he'd find his diamond...at Diamond Jubilee.
They minded their business throughout the night until they locked eyes from across the hall. Later that night, Azim noticed a group of friends talking to Natasha and saw his window of opportunity to introduce himself.
Fast forward, Natasha found and followed Azim on Twitter, and he followed back. The next day, Natasha left for Camp Mosaic in California for the next two weeks.
A week passed, and Azim slid into her Twitter direct messages to wish Natasha good luck at Camp (see picture below).
After being deprived of sleep, Natasha gave Azim her number, which soon led to a 5-hour lunch date (that he did not pay for) when she returned to Dallas.
Azim knew she was the one because the night he asked her to be his girlfriend at dinner, he had a Fantasy Football draft in which he could fully participate.
Early to mid-2021, Natasha's family planned a trip to Arizona to celebrate her dad and sister's birthday. As plans were on the way, to Natasha's knowledge, an invite to join was extended to Azim and his family to explore the desert. Natasha was also under the impression that a family photo shoot was planned since they had gained a new family member.
There was a moment when Natasha didn't know if she would be able to make it on the trip and what would end up being her proposal due to constant COVID exposure in her field of work. But she made it and was excited to "celebrate her dad and sister's birthday" in Scottsdale, Arizona, surrounded by their Phoenix family.
On Saturday, September 25, 2021, Natasha arrived at Papago Park with her sister and nephew. As Natasha walked up, her sister took her glasses off, and Azim came around the corner and started grabbing things from her hands. At first, she was confused about why her sister was taking her sunglasses off because it was bright and sunny, but then she slowly caught on...
