If Sergio were telling this story it would start off with "Suzie thought I was ugly." I know, poor Sergio but almost 12 years later and we're getting married!

Our love story started in high school, Sergio was a freshman, and I was a sophomore. We were in the same geometry class, and I sat right behind Sergio the whole school year. It wasn't until an indoor soccer game with a group of mutual friends that Sergio noticed me. The following week, Sergio took every chance to talk to me. I tried ignoring him, but that didn't work. Eventually, his persistence paid off, and he asked me to be his girlfriend. Fast forward to our 10th anniversary, and he surprised me by proposing!

I was shocked because I thought it was never going to happen. I missed all the signs and the hints he had dropped about proposing. Somehow, he convinced me to go get my hair, nails, and eyelashes done. I even went shopping for a dress. He planned to take me out to dinner for our 10th anniversary and our first family photo shoot. During our photo session, I was told to turn away, and when I turned around, he was on one knee. You can see the special moment in our photos.

We have grown up together, sharing all of our accomplishments and hardships along the way. From graduating high school, college, the university to buying our first home and raising our four-legged fur child, Lilo, together.

And now, for the next chapter of our lives begins.
