What time should I arrive to the Ceremony?
The ceremony will begin at 1:00 pm, so we recommend that you be there by 12:30 pm to ensure that you are able to arrive on time.
Will it be just a ceremony or is there a mass as well?
The ceremony start at 1:00 pm. As this is a Catholic wedding, there will be a mass to follow. This mass will be in Latin, but the sermon will be in English. There will be white missals provided that may help you understand the mass. Please show respect during the beautiful mass. If you are not Catholic, we ask that you show respect by standing when it is time to stand, and sit when people are kneeling. When it is time for communion, we ask that you only receive if you are a practicing Catholic, and those who are receiving will be receiving on the tongue and not in the hand. Thank you so much for your understanding.
When the mass ends, will there be a receiving line?
We are limited the amount of time that we have in the church after the wedding. There will not be a receiving line. When the mass is done, you are dismissed and we will greet you at the reception. If you are family, you should stay in the church to take a picture with the Bride and Groom.
Is the Ceremony and Reception in the Same Place?
No. The ceremony is in Lapeer at 1:00 pm. The Reception will be in Cass City. Hours d'oeuvres will start at 5 pm and dinner will start at 6:00 pm. Dancing, Cotton Candy, and a Photo Booth will follow.
Are Children Welcome?
Yes! We are having a dry wedding and would love your children to celebrate with us as well!
