It was a beautiful, sunny day on Spring Break 2016 in South Padre Island, Texas. Bailee had just checked into her motel room and was observing the porch views - which was, unfortunately, just a back alley. To Bailee's surprise, there was a cute boy below who dared her to pour a beer into his mouth from the balcony. And I guess, as they say, the rest is history.

After meeting in that back motel alley, Norbie and Bailee talked daily. Norbie was living in Cleveland where he worked as a firefighter and paramedic while Bailee was about to start medical school in Madison, Wisconsin. Despite the distance, Norbie and Bailee grew closer together and started visiting each other (admittedly, Norbie did most of the driving). They continued their long distance relationship through medical school. Ultimately, Bailee matched into emergency medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati. Norbie moved from his hometown of Cleveland to join her in Cincinnati, where he proposed at their home in December 2022.

Norbie and Bailee plan to move back to Cleveland in July where Bailee will start a new job at MetroHealth and Norbie as a firefighter and paramedic. We are so thrilled to welcome all of our family and friends to the new place that we will both call home.
