Cape Cod is rich in history when it comes to whales -- and there’s ample opportunity to spot one and become part of the maritime story while you’re visiting.
If you're coming in a few days early, or staying a few days after, enjoy a whale watching trip.
The Spa offers relaxing massages, body treatments, and waxing.
Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard are just a short ferry ride away. If you're coming in a few days early, or staying a few days after, enjoy a day trip to one of these famous islands.
The ceremony, reception and lodging at Red Jacket Beach Resort and Spa, offers access to it's own private beach.
Other beaches you might choose to explore are:
Mayflower Beach (Dennis)
Race Point (Provincetown)
First Encounter Beach (Eastham)
National Seashore (Orleans to Wellfleet)
Kalmus Beach (Hyannis)
Sandwich Boardwalk (Sandwich)
Grey’s Beach (Yarmouth)
If you choose to visit a beach other than the one at the resort, keep in mind that most beaches require visitors to buy a parking permit, so bring some cash (for that and for the ice cream man). The lots tend to fill up early in the morning, so make sure you plan accordingly.
Use caution if you choose to get in the water at any of the beaches on the Cape, as Cape Cod is known to be home to many Great White Sharks.
