Bailey and David's story started about 14 years ago at El Rancho Middle School in concert band. In the 7th grade, Bailey was given the first clarinet chair, due to her glorifying talent. In the 8th grade David stole her first clarinet chair, without dueling for it (a true battle for greatness). David disagrees strongly and said he won it fair and square because he was always the better clarinet player (which is still up for debate). Due to this unfortunate event, Bailey and David loathed each other.

After middle school, they went their separate ways. Bailey went on to Canyon High School, then SDSU for her Undergraduate degree, and University of Saint Joseph in Connecticut for her Masters degree, where she became a Physician Assistant. Bailey moved home to California to work in wound care. David went onto Villa Park and OCSA, then Chapman University for his Undergraduate degree, then CSULB for his Master of Music degree. David worked at Chapman University as an Adjunct Professor of Undergraduate Conducting Studies.

Bailey and David reconnected over facebook in 2022 and met up for dinner and drinks at Bosscat in Orange. Ever since then, they have been inseparable.
