Bailey & Sage grew up in Redmond, with childhood homes just blocks away from each other. But miraculously, their paths never crossed until they were 18 years old. As Sage always foresaw meeting his dream girl, they met at a Mariners game in the summer of 2018, and have been inseparable since.

Even though they went to different universities, they still made it a point to visit each other every chance they could. During the times of COVID, they took the opportunity to move in together and spend their school days on Zoom, in different classes, at different schools, but always by each other's side supporting one another.

After the passing of Sage's grandma, Sydney Moe or "Nona", in 2023, the two went to Camano Island to celebrate Christmas. Camano was Nona's favorite summer vacation destination, and Bailey & Sage grew fond of the area too after embarking on trips to the island over the years. However, nothing could beat Bailey's first venture to the island, accompanying a Moe Family vacation- lots of puzzling, golfing, and laughter- Nona shared this special place with her grandson over the years, and extended the island's radiating love with Bailey. Bailey & Sage spent their Christmas holiday in 2023 on Camano Island. To Bailey's surprise, this would be the place where new memories would be made for a lifetime. Sage got on one knee after Christmas dinner, that is why we are here today!

Bailey stayed up all night, looking at her ring's sparkle and glory into the early hours of the morning. The first person she told was her grandma, Jane Romaine, at 3 a.m. and to her surprise she responded right back! They called and talked for over an hour about their excitement and Jane revealed to Bailey that she knew Sage's plan all along. There were no secrets between Bailey and her grandma, but she managed to keep this one close to the vest. Jane felt joy and warmth seeing the two engaged, before her passing only a few days later. As Jane always dreamed of for Bailey, the two were lucky enough to move into her beautiful Redmond home, continuing the tradition of raising a family and continuing her legacy. Bailey & Sage officially purchased the home in October 2024.

Here we are 7 years after the first Mariners game. Upon Bailey & Sage's reflection over the years, they gained a deep insight about their relationship: shit happens. Together they have experienced joy, loss, accomplishments, and failures, but through it all, they learned that supporting each other is what true love is all about.
