Our Story

The story of Bailey and Rebekah (starting in Bailey's eyes) is a unique and funny story. It all started during the little thing we like to call Covid-19. It was freshman orientation at the UTC BCM during 2020 when we first met. We did not start becoming friends until later. Rebekah loves to joke about me direct messaging her on Instagram to invite her to my church Ridgedale Baptist. Unfortunately, it did not work because she did not even show up. Months passed by, and the BCM had a worship on the road service at Sojourn Baptist Church in Northshore. Rebekah went on stage to do some little announcements and I saw her. This is where I said, “who is that!?!" (With all the exclamation points). After that, I had it in my head I wanted to pursue Rebekah. The whole BCM was entangled in this game of Assassin. This led to Rebekah and I “talking” for strategy purposes and to try and win the game. Toward the end of the game, my friends and I snuck up on Rebekah and got her out. This is where our friendship truly started. Let me also say this is where my big crush began. We spent summer of 2021 figuring out if we wanted to date each other. Trust me, I knew I wanted to date her. At the end of the summer, after my efforts to sway Rebekah, she dumped me. Big oof! A couple months later, we tried being friends again. (Now Rebekah will take over) We started hanging out once the school year began, and I noticed that I had begun to develop a crush on Bailey. Literally, everyone in the world knew this but Bailey. Even Bailey's 7 year old cousin at the time called me out. Wow. I asked Bailey if he wanted to try again. I was soooo nervous and just knew he would give me a taste of my own medicine and turn me down. To my surprise. Bailey said yes! Come to find out, he never stopped liking me. ( I mean have you seen her? She is amazing. - Bailey) On November 8th, 2021 we began dating. Throughout dating, we did so many things and created so many memories. From going to numerous sports games, Texas Roadhouse dates, and ministry opportunities, we had a great time. On November 5th, 2023, 2 years from when we originally started talking, I (Bailey) got to be the luckiest man on Earth. Why do I say this? It is because I got to ask Rebekah, the love of my life, to marry me. From then on, the rest is history, and we are so excited that you will be joining us in this next stage!
