Our Wedding

Our StoryIt all started in the fall of 2019 at Texas Tech University — thanks to one of Taylor’s freshman roommates. Although we technically met that semester, we didn’t really start talking until March 2020… and as fate would have it, the world shut down almost immediately after. When the pandemic sent everyone home, Taylor headed back to Houston and Bailey to Dallas. Long distance wasn’t part of the original plan, but somehow it made everything sweeter. There were trips back and forth between Houston and Dallas, long drives that were always worth it, and lots of time spent on the lake just enjoying being together. Even in the uncertainty, we knew this was something special. By August 2020, we were back at school and officially dating — and the college memories really began. We experienced all the typical college milestones, plus plenty of unforgettable trips to the farm in Glen Rose (including one that snowed us in for a few days — which we now consider a core memory). There were countless weekends visiting family in Houston and Dallas, and some of our favorite adventures together took us to Breckenridge, New Orleans, and Destin. After graduating in 2024, we started our next chapter in Austin, Texas — complete with “big girl and boy jobs,” our sweet golden retriever Miller (the true star of our story), and eventually a home of our own in November 2025. Then came the “graduation trip” in March 2025… or at least that’s what Taylor thought it was. What was supposed to be a celebratory trip to the Bahamas turned into the most perfectly imperfect proposal story. Delayed flights (by 12 hours!) ruined the original proposal plan. A run-in with an overly enthusiastic Florida lady added some unexpected drama. The weather was so windy that excursions — including a day on a private island — were canceled. And just when we thought it couldn’t get worse, our flight home was delayed another 12 hours. But somewhere in the middle of all the chaos, Bailey completely winged it and asked Taylor to marry him — and it was absolutely perfect. Because at the end of the day, it was never about the plan. It was about us. Now, we can’t wait to get married on a property in Glen Rose that has meant so much to us over the years — a place we’ve watched be built from the ground up, just like our relationship. It feels only fitting to begin our forever in a place that has been part of our story from the very beginning. We truly cannot wait to celebrate with all of you. 🤍
